Ambient Control became one of the first companies in the country to become a fully qualified LCEA Air Conditioning Inspector and have completed inspections for some of the countries biggest organisations, including British Gas, DEFRA and The Environment Agency.

Legal Requirements for Air Conditioning Inspections

Ambient Control adheres to the air conditioning inspection known as TM44, which is a necessary requirement enforced by the 'Energy Performance of Buildings Directive' (EPBD).

TM44 Inspection Schedule

  • Existing systems over 12kw - Inspection to be completed by 4th January 2011
  • New systems (installed after January 2008) over 12kw - Inspection to be completed within five years of installation

Regular inspections to assess efficiency and energy use are carried out by Ambient Control in order to fulfill our legal requirements. These inspections and subsequent reports will suggest ways of being more energy efficient, often resulting in significant savings.

Ambient Control's surveyors, registered with the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE) are fully qualified to carry out TM44 Inspections.
