The important of good maintenance

Recently we were instructed to undertake a Level 4 air conditioning assessment for a large nationwide company. Whilst the building is maintained under a strict PPM schedule it was noted that this is not sufficient. Due to the large amounts of dust within the building generated by large printing equipment we recommended that the current regime be increased substantially.The photo shows one of the air handling units where by the heating / frost coil was completely blocked and the filters had disintegrated. As a result none of the internal offices were being supplied with fresh air at all. The other photo shows the inside of one of the ceiling mounted cassettes, as with the air handling unit the airflow is being restricted due in part to a partially blocked coil.We recommended an immediate deep clean of all the equipment so as to bring the systems up to an acceptable standard.
